We have scheduled a show with Bachelors for Boobs: Bachelor Auction to benefit the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure to put an end to breast cancer. This event will raise money from the auction as well as a portion of the money from the bar. If you or someone you know is interested in helping the cause you can participate in the auction or if you just want to see the band come on out to see the show. There is no cover. I finally got my new DW drums! I came back from my trip to Paris and there was a message saying my drums have arrived. The look beautiful and were worth the wait! The picture just doesn't do it justice. The sound of them is incredible. They are a bit louder than my Roland TD20s V-Drums so when we play at band practice we now have to use earplugs. C'est la vie. Next on the list? Acoustic treatment for the practice room.
Back in January I ordered new 5 piece DW Collector's Series drum shells. The great thing about DW is that you get to customize everything even down to the direction of the plies in the shell. The bad thing is the wait. I've been waiting for word that they are shipping my set, but just heard that my order is delayed another couple weeks. Doh! I guess the wait continues. I convinced the DW rep to take a picture of the shells while it was on the production line a few weeks back. I'm looking forward to hearing these bad boys play.
